Stupid Black Men

“America is more inclusive and just than at any point in her history.  When one considers the staggering diversity and continued prosperity of the American people, racism approaches near insignificance.  If a white person says that, he stands accused of blindness, if not outright bigotry.  If a black person says this, he is called an Uncle Tom, coon or sell out.  Yet those who consistently and often without evidence cry “racism,” attract attention, sympathy and votes.”

Larry Elder is a lawyer, bestselling author and radio host.  He has written the controversial book entitled, “Stupid Black Men” How to play the race card and lose.  Mr. Elder makes the point that blacks in prominent positions such as Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Charles Barron often play the race card and lose.  But when they lose they don’t apologize.

At a political event in New York City councilman  Charles Barron who is black, walked onto the stage grabbed the microphone and said to blacks, “I want you to go up to the closest white person and say, “You can’t understand this it’s a black thing and then slap him just for your mental health,” many black people applauded.  No one challenged his comments or demanded an apology the next day. In contrast if a white politician had said, “Walk up and slap the nearest black person” that would have been front page news for a week.

So what is going on? The name of the game is intimidation. If a white person complains about a black person then the white person is labelled a racist. If a black person says anything positive about a white person then the black person automatically becomes an Uncle Tom.  (If you read the book, “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” ironically Uncle Tom is actually the hero).

Al Sharpton did not apologize after the Tawana Brawley story was discovered to be a hoax.  Unfortunately the phony accusations destroyed the lives of innocent white people.  And Jesse Jackson did not apologize for years after referring to Jews as hymies and New York City as “hymietown.”  Larry Elder calls out black leaders, clergy, activists, and anyone who plays the race card under the veil of hypocrisy.

History reveals that it was the Democrats in 1861 that supported slavery and fought the Civil War to preserve it.  The Ku Klux Klan was founded by Democrats on December 24, 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee.  In 1965 more Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act than Democrats. The Democrat Party was divided on the issue of Civil Rights for blacks. In spite of all this can you believe that 90% of black voters vote for Democrat candidates every voting cycle?   Is that normal?  I don’t think so. 

In some countries like India there is a caste system which still exists today despite the governments’ efforts to promote equality.  The caste system is based on color.   The upper caste are light skinned and the lower class is dark skinned.  This system has existed for 3000 years.  It is almost impossible for the lower caste (class) to advance in any area of the Indian social structure. 

Let’s get real.  “Some” black men in America use the same old tired excuses for failure like, “The white man is holding me back,” or “Black people can’t succeed in a racist society.”  When the truth is if you work hard, get an education and learn to speak English you will succeed in the United States of America.
